Leta M. Flaherty
MIFFLINTOWN – Leta M. Flaherty, 84, of Mifflintown, died Saturday, Feb. 16, 2013, at Holy Spirit Hospital, Camp Hill.
She was born March 5, 1928, in Lincoln County, Neb.
She is survived by: two sons, Marc R. and wife, Denise, of Columbus, Ga. and Matt, of Mifflintown; two granddaughters, seven great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by: her beloved husband, Francis M. “Frank” Flaherty on Feb. 13, 2004; her parents, Harry and Vanessa; one sister, Bonita Troisi; and one brother, Dick Junod.
Leta was a member of St. Jude’s Catholic Church and the Mifflintown VFW women’s auxiliary. She enjoyed cooking, baking and making stunning afghans. She especially loved her family and spending time with them.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 22, at Union Cemetery, Mifflintown, with the Rev. William Weary officiating.
Although there will be no viewing, the family will be present from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 21, at Guss Funeral Home, 20 S. Third St., Mifflintown.
