Elsie Mae Page
MIFFLINTOWN – Elsie Mae Page, 93, of Bridges at Brookline, Mifflintown, and formerly of Thompsontown, died at 3:55 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2013, at Brookline.
Born on Oct. 10, 1919, in Susquehanna Township, Juniata County, she was a daughter of the late Zur and Ada (Burris) Reisinger and was raised by the late George and Maggie (Landis) Watts. On Feb. 19, 1941, she married her husband, William G. Page Sr., with whom she shared nearly 49 years of marriage until he preceded her in death on Jan. 24, 1990.
Surviving are: her children, Ray D. Page and his wife, Sharon, of Mifflintown, William G. Page Jr. and his wife, Anise, of Thompsontown, Marie J. Kauffman and her husband, Barry, of Mifflintown, Bonnie L. Myers, of Mifflintown, Ronald M. Page and his wife, Ann, of McAlisterville, James A. Page and his wife, Jonelle, of Thompsontown, and Donald E. Page and his wife, Pauline, of Mifflintown; and she leaves behind 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Three brothers, Ethen Reisinger, Jake Reisinger and William Witman and one sister, Mary Snyder, preceded her in death, making her the last of her generation.
She was a member of Cedar Grove Brethren in Christ Church, Mifflintown, and had been a member of the Stony Run Mission, Richfield.
Elsie was a homemaker who loved to sew, tend to her garden and draw pictures of birds.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 16, 2013, at Cedar Grove Brethren in Christ Church, Mifflintown, with the Revs. Kenneth Hepner and James A. Neimond Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Mifflintown.
A viewing will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 15, 2013, at Brown Funeral Homes, Inc., 111 Westfall St., McAlisterville, and from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service Saturday, at the church.
