Richard T. ‘Dick’ Berrier

LEWISTOWN – Richard T. “Dick” Berrier, 72, of Parcheytown Road, Lewistown, died at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013, at his home.

Born March 6, 1940, in Lewistown, he was the son of the late George B. and Rosella F. (Flood) Berrier.

He is survived by: his wife, Mary Jane (Cramer) Berrier, whom he married on Aug. 15, 1959; his children, Pam Berrier and companion, Scott Wagner, of Lewistown, Deb Everly, of Burnham, Brad Berrier and companion, Kelly Coburn, of Yeagertown, and Kelly Snook and husband, Chris, of Lewistown; grandchildren, Julie Stringfellow, Nicholas Moore, Bronwen Prosser, Anthony Everly, Ashley Bowersox, Kayleigh Snook and Abagale Snook; and ten great-grandchildren.

He is also survived by his siblings, George Berrier, of Lewistown, Joe Berrier and wife, Carol, of Burnham, Robert Berrier and wife, Shirley, of Burnham, Walter Berrier, of New Jersey, and Nina Kurtz, of York Haven.

He was preceded in death by a son-in-law, R. Brian Everly.

Dick was employed as a truck driver for Stroehmann’s until 1990 and later for Cramer Paving.

He was a member of the Parkview Church of the Brethren.

Dick was a loving father and grandfather who enjoyed attending their sporting events. He volunteered with the Chief Logan and Indian Valley Band Boosters and was an avid PSU fan.

He was an avid racing fan and he bowled for many years in the fellowship church league.

His funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2013, at the Parkview Church of the Brethren with the Rev. Ronald Stacey officating. Interment will be in Juniata Memorial Park.

His family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, at the Heller-Hoenstine Burnham Funeral Home, 108 First Ave., Burnham.
