Joy L. (Stimely) Peace
PITTSBURGH – Joy L. (Stimely) Peace, 51, of South Beaver Township, died Sunday, Dec. 30, 2012, in the Heritage Valley Beaver Emergency Room.
Born Oct. 23, 1961, in Lewistown, she was the daughter of Marian Shirk Stimely, of McVeytown, and the late Robert Stimely.
She was a member of Christian Missionary Alliance, in Chippewa. Joy was Director of the AWANA Club, a former Sunday school teacher, officer of the Alliance Women and was very active with the Blackhawk Swim Team.
Surviving are: her husband of 31 years, Edward E. Peace; a son and daughter-in-law, Adam Edward and Rebecca Peace; a daughter and son-in-law, Stacey and Michael Rizzo, all of Wexford; daughters Sara and Caitlyn Peace, at home; a sister and brother-in-law, Karen and Earl Harshbarger; a brother, Kim Stimely, all of McVeytown; a grandchild, expected March, 2013; and nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 3, 2013, at Lutton Funeral Home Chippewa, 117 Blackhawk Road.
Joy will lie in state Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at 11 a.m. in the Christian Missionary Alliance Church, 3629 37th Street Ext., Beaver Falls, with the Rev. Daniel Muir officiating.
