Dorothy M. Ryan
MILROY – Dorothy M. Ryan, 87, of 16 Ryans Circle, Milroy, died at 2:16 p.m. Monday, Jan. 7, 2013, at her home.
Born Feb. 25, 1925, in Milroy, she was a daughter of the late Arthur C. and Hazel Ruth (Bobb) Aumiller.
She was preceded in death by: her husband, Jack Ryan, on May 26, 1985, whom she married on Dec. 25, 1945; her brothers, Tim Aumiller and Jim Aumiller; and her sister, Gracie Patterson.
Dorothy is survived by: her children, Michael D. Ryan and wife, Judy, of Reedsville, Patrick D. Ryan and wife, Kathy, of Milroy, Sheila Wagner and husband, Kenneth, of Milroy, and Marc A. Ryan and wife, Deena, of Milroy; grandchildren, Michael Ryan, Jennifer Staub, Melissa Ryan, Jonathan Ryan, Brent Ryan, Kyle Ryan, Kevin “Jack” Ryan, Leonette Santiago, Kenny Wagner, Marc Ryan II and Megan Ryan; great-grandchildren, Jack Staub, Luke Staub, Andrea Staub, Austen Santiago, Isaac Santiago and Eva Santiago.
She is also survived by her sisters, Helen Bollinger, of Milroy, Sara Barnes, of Milroy, Faye-Lee Rager, of Milroy, and her brother, John Aumiller and wife, Roberta, of Camp Hill.
She was a graduate of Milroy High School and a member of the Milroy White Memorial Church.
Dorothy enjoyed time with family and friends, watching birds and going to Sight & Sound with Michael.
She was a great mother who enjoyed baking, sewing and always had her doors open to everyone.
Her funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 11, 2013, at Heller- Hoenstine Woodlawn Funeral Home, 200 N. Main St., with the Rev. Dr. James Barnes officiating. Interment will be held in Woodlawn Cemetery, Milroy.
Her family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 10, 2013, at the funeral home.
