Beatrice M. Bobb
BEAVERTOWN – Beatrice M. Bobb, 99, formerly of Market Street, Beavertown, passed away at 8:12 a.m. Friday, Jan. 18, 2013, at Columbia Cottages Assisted Living, in Palmyra.
Born May 8, 1913, in Beaver Springs, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Elva (Smith) Jenkins. In 1939 she married Paul M. Bobb, who preceded her in death on June 19, 2000.
Mrs. Bobb was a graduate of Beaver Vocational High School, where she was active in the girls band, playing the trombone. She also played basketball.
She helped her husband, Paul, who owned and operated Bobb’s Plumbing, with bookkeeping.
Beatrice was a very active member of Beaver Lutheran Church and also helped other area Lutheran churches where she was the organist for 60 years.
Mrs. Bobb enjoyed working outside, especially doing yard work and gardening.
She is survived by: her two nieces, Diane Mazzoni and her husband, Bob, of Wilmington, Del., and Suzanne Baker and her husband, Dennis, of Warminster; several great-nieces and -nephews; and also great-great-nieces and -nephews.
A funeral will be held at noon Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2013, at Beaver Lutheran Church, Beaver Springs, with the Rev. Nathan Baker-Trinity officiating.
Friends and family will be received from 11 a.m. to noon Tuesday, at the church.
Burial will be held in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
