Missions yard sale slated June 15

MILROY — An annual Mission Yard Sale will be held 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 15 at 246 S. Main St., Milroy. Proceeds benefit worldwide missions. There will be low prices and free hot dogs and water available.

Presbyterian Church hosts camps

REEDSVILLE — East Kishacoquillas Presbyterian Church of Reedsville will host the following summer day camps in the church’s basement free of charge. They include lunch and a snack:

¯Art camp: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 17 to 21. There will be two sessions for different age groups.

¯Science camp: 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. July 8 to 12. There will be two sessions different age groups. Campers will engage in experiments and observe reactions.

¯Noah camp: 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. July 15 to 19. Campers learn about water, building an ark and other fun activities. For children who have completed kindergarten.

¯Cooking camp: 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. July 22 to 26. Campers will make international desserts. Camp is for children who have completed kindergarten.

¯Sewing camp: 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. July 29 to Aug. 2. Campers make a number of projects, including reading pillows, bags and cell phone pillows. Participants must have completed fourth grade.

Father’s Day service

McALISTERVILLE — Pastor Jacob Tanner will share in a Father’s Day service at 9:15 a.m. June 16 at Stony Run Mission Church, 2825 Evendale Hill Road, McAlisterville.

Holy Trinity service held June 16

MIFFLINTOWN — A Holy Trinity service will begin at 9:15 a.m. June 16 at Messiah Lutheran Church in Mifflintown. Worship will be held by the Rev. Charles Hershberger. The organist is June Bricker and the choir director is Andrea Cameron. Acolytes are Hannah Ehrisman and Zeb Berry. A voter’s assembly will be held June 23 after the worship service.

Re-Creation to

perform in Reedsville

REEDSVILLE — Re-Creation, a group of dynamic young people who present both religious and family-oriented music, will perform at 7 p.m. June 23 at Evangelical Lutheran Church, 200 East Logan St., Reedsville. A free will offering will go toward the ministry of Re-Creation.

McClure First UMC hosts performance

McCLURE — The Sky family, from Prince Edward Island, will perform their acclaimed Celtic Revival production 11 a.m. June 23 at McClure First United Methodist Church. The Sky Family brings world-class Irish dance to lively Celtic/pop-rock music and songs rich in harmonies. Woven throughout are humorous stories and inspirational testimonies. The program is engaging for the whole family. Lunch will follow their performance.

Church to celebrate 150th anniversary

ALLENSVILLE — Allensville Mennonite Church will celebrate its 150th anniversary on June 29 and 30. The weekend will begin with a meal at 6 p.m. Saturday followed by a service including special music and sharing of memories. On Sunday, the celebration will continue with activities planned during 9:15 a.m. Sunday School and the morning service at 10:30 a.m., followed by a meal at noon. An afternoon session will be held from 1 to 2:15 p.m. that focuses on highlights of the church’s missions involvement in recent years, including stories of God at work in Spain and Belarus. Horse-drawn carriage rides are planned for roads surrounding the church from 4 to 5:30 p.m. There will be a light meal at 5:30 p.m. Sunday. The weekend’s activities will conclude with an evening service at 7 p.m., focusing on the church’s more recent history and what God may have in story for the church’s future.

McALISTERVILLE — Stony Run Mission Church will holds its June 30 service at Evendale Ball Field at 6 p.m. with Nottingham Four singing. It rains, the service will be held at the church.

Windy Hill to host hymn sing June 30

BURNHAM — Windy Hill Bible Church in Burnham will host its monthly hymn sing 6 to 7 p.m. on June 30 with fellowship and snacks to follow.

Re-Creation to

perform at St. Paul’s

BEAVERTOWN — St. Paul’s Reformed Church of Beavertown will host the musical group Re-Creation at 7 p.m. June 30. During the service, a love offering will be taken. A homemade ice cream social will follow. Information: (570) 658-7590. All are welcome.

East Kishacoquillas celebrates 200 years

MILROY — The East Kishacoquillas Lutheran Parish will celebrate 200 years with an 11 a.m. worship service on Aug. 25 at Reeds Gap State Park, New Lancaster Valley, Pavilion 2. It will be followed by lunch at 12:30 p.m. The East Kishacoquillas Lutheran parish 200 year history program will be held at 2:30 p.m. Chicken will be provided by the parish for lunch. Attendees are asked to bring a covered dish to share, their own drinks, lawn chairs and bug spray. Transportation is available to those needing a ride.

LEWISTOWN — World Bible School correspondence courses will be offered through Lewistown Church of Christ. Anyone interested may email lewistowncoc@gmail.com, or write 301 South Pine St., Lewistown.
