MIFFLINTOWN — A summer day camp sponsored by Centre Lutheran Church, Mifflintown, in partnership with Camp Mount Luther will be held 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 17 to 21. Youth who have completed kindergarten through sixth grades are invited to experience outdoor ministries. Staff from Camp Mount Luther and volunteers from Centre Lutheran Church will bring fun, fellowship and the love of God. Camp includes games, sports, Bible study, singing, crafts and worship. LEWISTOWN — First United Methodist Church will host VBS with the theme “Roar” 6 to 8:30 p.m. June 23 to 27. During the program, ages 3 to completion of fifth grade will discover that God is good even when life gets wild. They will participate in memorable Bible-learning activities, sing, play games, enjoy treats, experience one-of-a kind Wild Bible Adventures, collect Bible Memory Buddies to remind them of God’s love, that they can play with all summer long. Attendees will learn to look for evidence of God. Each day concludes with the Safari Celebration at 8:15 p.m. that gets everyone involved in living what they’ve learned. Families and friends are encouraged to join during that time. A light supper will be served at 5:30 p.m. There will be a special closing program on the last night.
