He sees acts of love

Good morning, dear sisters! Oh, my heart is so full this morning! My quiet time with Jesus has been so rich lately and some of that richness has come about by the love and encouragement I’ve experienced from a dear sister in the Lord. I don’t need to name her, or embarrass her — she knows. We have kindred hearts. We understand each other. We just love on each other in the early morning hours. After I’ve spent time in the Word and in prayer, her love is like — “here comes the dessert!” Thank you, dear sister for blessing me so.

There was a woman in the Bible. You may not know her name, either, but that matters little. It’s what she did and how she lived her life that is remembered. Mark 14:9 tells us:

“I assure you: Wherever the gospel is proclaimed in the whole world, what this woman has done will also be told in memory of her.”

Now do you know her? Of course you do — the woman who washed the feet of Jesus with her hair. Listen, sisters…we may never realize how powerful our small acts of love are, not until future generations tell of them. So, we may never know…but Jesus knows, and He remembers. No act of love for God, expressed through our relationships to each other, will ever go unnoticed by Him! We simply don’t know what the Lord may use in future generations, or in the lives of others today, to bring honor to Himself, and to draw our hearts to Him.

Do you think Abraham knew that his willingness to sacrifice his only son would have a lasting impact on the world? His obedience always comes to mind, doesn’t it?

How about David? We often remember the sins of his life, yet, we also know David to be ‘a man after God’s own heart’. How could it be, that though David was such a sinner, he is most remembered for his love for God? There’s a message there for us today.

And dear Paul, the man who persecuted Christians…How did God use him then, to be such a powerful man of God, writing so much of the New Testament?? It’s because God knew his heart.

Dear sisters, you may not ever know until you reach Heaven, how those little acts of love, the times you made time for others when you just thought you couldn’t possibly pack another thing into your day…how these things impacted the world for Jesus. But, HE KNOWS!

When we give to others, selflessly, because of our heart for Jesus, we never think of what’s in it for us…it’s for others, and for Him. We are simply expressing our love for Him, through our acts of love for one another. Beautiful! And so is the love my sister shares with me daily! I pray that each of you know the blessing of having a kindred spirit, who share the love of Jesus on a daily basis. Knowing that she’s out there, going about her day, with prayers on her lips for me…Is more precious than diamonds! It’s priceless! It’s the blessing of God! Thank you, dear sister, for coming along side of me when I need you most!

Lord, YOU designed this perfect plan of us supporting each other. Because of our love for You, we can freely love others. It’s a precious gift in my life that I would never want to be without. Thank You, Lord, for loving me, through my dear sister. In Jesus’ Most Precious Name, I Pray, with a grateful heart…Amen.
