Area churches host VBS
LEWISTOWN — First United Methodist Church will host Vacation Bible School with the theme, “Roar,” 6 to 8:30 p.m. June 23 to 27. During the program, youth age 3 to completion of fifth grade will participate in memorable Bible-learning activities, sing catchy songs, play team building games, devour treats, experience one-of-a kind Wild Bible Adventures, collect Bible Memory Buddies to remind them of God’s love. Attendees will also learn to look for evidence of God. Each day concludes with the Safari Celebration that gets everyone involved in living what they’ve learned. Family members and friends are encouraged to join daily for this special time at 8:15 p.m. A light supper will be served at 5:30 p.m. There will be a special closing program on the last night.

The soccer clinic will be held 1 to 6 p.m. June 27 at Rec Park, 108 Montgomery Ave., Lewistown. The senior session for grades 7 to 12 is held 3 to 5 p.m. June 26. McCLURE — Mt. Bethel Church, First United Church of McClure and West End Grace are teaming up to create a week of Vacation Bible School held 6 to 8:30 p.m. July 22 to 26.
