Reedsville church hosts camps

REEDSVILLE — East Kishacoquillas Presbyterian Church of Reedsville will hold the following summer day camps for 2019.

Camps are held in the church’s basement and are free of charge. They include lunch and a snack.

Camps are as follows:

¯The first camp is for children interested in learning to program computers. It will be held 1-6 p.m. June 10 to 14. Participants should have completed fourth grade.

¯Art camps will be held 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 17 to 21. There will be two sessions; one is for younger children who will interact with art techniques and styles. Older children will learn about five artists and their styles and will make creations in the styles of these artists. This camp is for children who have completed kindergarten and older.

¯Science camps will be held 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. July 8 to 12. There will be two sessions for either younger or older campers. The campers will engage in experiments and observe reactions. This camp is for children who have completed kindergarten and older.

¯Noah camp will be held 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. July 15 to 19. Campers will learn about water, building an ark and other fun activities. Children will have fun on the last day with water play. This camp will be for children who have completed kindergarten and older.

¯Cooking camp will be held 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. July 22 to 26. Campers will be learning to make international desserts. Samples of these desserts will be sent home. The camp is for children who have completed kindergarten and older.

¯Sewing camp will be held 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. July 29 to Aug. 2. Campers will make a number of projects, including reading pillows, bags and cell phone pillows. Participants must have completed fourth grade and older.
