Maple Grove celebrates 150 years

Sentinel photo by TIM SHUMAKER
This friendship quilt was given to Pastor Paul and Mary Stolzfus when they left Maple Grove Church. Individual patches from members were put together and quilted by the Sewing Ladies. The wedding dresses of Dorothy (Zook) Yoder, left, and Fern (Kauffman) Hartzler were also on display for the 150th anniversary. Yoder, who was married in 1934, was the director of the ladies chorus and mixed choral group for many years at the church. Hartzler’s wedding in 1955 was the last wedding in the old church building.
