Vacation Bible School

¯Locust Run United Methodist Church, located on William Penn Highway between Thompsontown and Mifflintown, will hold Vacation Bible School 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., July 8 to 12. The theme is “One Way Cafe: Taste and See That the Lord is Good.” The program includes stories, games, crafts and snacks and is open to children ages 3 to sixth grade. ¯The theme for Vacation Bible School at Central Baptist Church, 29 Pines Road, Millerstown, will be “Moose on the Loose.” The program will begin at 6:30 p.m. July 8 to 12 and is open to ages 4 through sixth grade. There will be games, treats and crafts. Those interested may call (717) 805-5845.

¯Centre Union Church will hold Vacation Bible School from 6 to 8:15 p.m. July 9 to 13. The theme is “Soul River.” Vacation Bible School will be held at the church, 200 Greenwood Ave., Yeagertown. It is open to children ages 4 to those who have just completed fourth grade.

¯Lower Tuscarora Presbyterian Church (Academia) will hold Vacation Bible School 9 to 11:30 a.m. July 9 to 13. The program is open to ages 4 to the completion of sixth grade. The theme is “Camp Moose on the Loose.” For more information, call (717) 994-0438.

¯Evangel Baptist Church-Lewistown, 375 W. Fifth St., Lewistown, will hold Vacation Bible School 6 to 8 p.m. July 15 to 19. The program is open to children entering kindergarten through sixth grade. The theme is “Game on.” Register at www.evangel.family.

¯Lewistown Assembly of God Church will hold Vacation Bible School from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. July 15 to July 20. The theme is “Shipwrecked: Rescued by Jesus.” Youth will discover that Jesus rescues them. They will participate in Bible-learning activities, sing songs, play team-building games, make and eat treats and collect Bible Memory Buddies to remind them of God’s love and test Sciency-Fun Gizmos they’ll take home and play with all summer long. ¯Rhodes Memorial United Methodist Church, 500 Highland Ave., will hold Vacation Bible School from 6 to 8 p.m. July 15 to 19. There will be classes for youth ages 3 to sixth grade. The theme is “Submerged — Under the Sea.” For more information, call the church 9 a.m. to noon Tuesday to Thursday.

¯Highland Park Presbyterian Church, at the corner of Electric Avenue and Sixth Street, Lewistown, will hold Vacation Bible School from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. July 16 to 20. ¯Aldersgate United Methodist Church will hold Rolling River Rampage Vacation Bible School for children kindergarten to fifth grade 6 to 8:30 p.m. July 22 to July 26. This white water rafting adventure includes new music, science, crafts, recreation and memorable Bible stories that will let children know God is always with them as they ride the rapids of life.

¯Church Hill United Methodist Church, located at 199 Woodland Circle, will host Vacation Bible School from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. July 22 to 26. This year’s theme is Rolling River Rampage. Ages kindergarten to fifth grade are welcome.

¯Kish Valley Grace Brethren Church, 99 Taylor Dr., Reedsville, will hold Vacation Bible School from 6 to 8 p.m. July 22 to 26. The theme is Camp Moose on the Loose. The program is open to youth in prekindergarten through fifth grade. Preregister at www.kishvalleygbc.org/vbs-2018.

¯Bunkertown Church of the Brethren will hold “VBS Time Lab” — Discovering Jesus from Eternity Past to Eternity Future from 5:45 to 8:30 p.m. July 23 to July 27. Bethel Church and United Methodist Church is “Shipwrecked.” The program will be held 6 to 8:30 p.m. July 23 to July 27 and includes songs, skits, stories, games and crafts. It is open to students who finished kindergarten in June to those who have finished fifth grade. The program will be held at Mt. Bethel Church, 16 E. Specht St., McClure.

¯The Strodes Mills Baptist Church, 8151 U.S. Highway 522 S., Lewistown, will hold “Moose on the Loose: Rediscovering God’s Forever Forgiveness” Vacation Bible School for children ages 3 to sixth grade.
