Summer art camp offered

MIFFLINTOWN — Summer Art Camp for children to adults will continue for the sixth year at Lost Creek Mennonite Church from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. June 18 to 20.

There will be five classes to choose from. New this year for teens and adults is a beginner portrait drawing class, led by art teacher Aimee Hubley. A drawing skills class is available for teens and adults and will focus on drawing a detailed rose. Photography 101 is open to teens and adults and will teach beginner composition and lighting for still life and landscape photography. An adult’s beginner string art class is also available. The children’s class is open to ages 7-12 and will use acrylic paint, watercolor, and paper to create three lighthouse projects.

There is a small fee to cover supplies for each class. An art show will take place for the public on the last day of classes, at 7:30 p.m. June 20.

For more information and a registration form, visit www.LostCreekMennoniteChurch.org, on the church’s Facebook page, and by calling Judy Mummau at (717) 734-2122.

Donations to the Friendship Community, which provides value through artistic expression to artists with intellectual disabilities, will also be accepted.
