Pro-life achievement award

Frank Cunningham, Milroy, center, holds the Lifetime Achievement Award, presented to him at the annual banquet of the Pennsylvania Pro-Life Federation, Sept. 29, at the Radisson Penn Harris Convention Center, Camp Hill. Michael Bailey, owner of Burnham OIP, offered the banquet invocation before about 600 attendees. Since Cunningham was unable to attend the event due to health issues, the award was received at the banquet by his pastor, Father William M. Weary, the pastor of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, who here presents the plaque to the awardee at his home.
Cunningham organized many Lewistown area pro-life events over the last 12 years or more, including the annual Life Chain October rally on the Mifflin County Courthouse steps and the Pro-Life March through the streets of Lewistown every January in protest against the legalization of abortion. Pictured also is Jane Brown, the awardee’s sister and caregiver.
