Highland Park church changes worship time

Schreck to speak on autism, the church
LEWISTOWN – In conjunction with Autism Awareness month, Dr. Kimberly Anne Schreck will speak about the concerns that parents of autistic children have with the church. Ministerium to host prayer luncheons
LEWISTOWN – The Lewistown Ministerium will hold a Lenten prayer luncheon at noon on Wednesday at Lewistown Presbyterian Church, 17 E. Third St. The program will begin with a short prayer service and continue with homemade lunch, cooked and served by members of the congregation. The luncheon will last one hour and there is no cost.

Jewelry ministry to hold open house
BELLEVILLE – WORD on YOU will hold an open house from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 12 at Maple Grove Mennonite Church in Belleville. The ministry, led by Lynn Peachey and Nina Gunter, uses proceeds from the sale of handmade jewelry to provide a gift certificate for dinner to working mothers of preschool-age children. The event will feature spring, summer and vacation jewelry. Refreshments will be provided.

The Crosswalk (the walking of a large cross through the streets) will be held after the service. Participants will stop to pray at different government and community agencies in downtown Lewistown.
