Vernon Estate settles as new venue within Mifflin County

MILROY — There is a new venue in Mifflin County to hold your special event. Nestled between Havice and Spruce mountains, Ray Vernon Estate is a 3,600 square foot venue that’s a short drive from Route 322.

Settled on the hillside, the estate has a unobstructed view of the Havice Valley and can comfortably hold 225 guests. Owners Tom and Melody Hassinger, along with their family, built Ray Vernon Estate to fill a need in the area for a place to have special occasions, bring fun events to Armagh Township and to share their family’s love of the mountains.

The name of the estate comes from combining Tom’s father’s first name and his uncle’s middle name. The two bought the farm from their father, Harry Hassinger, who owned the property since the days of the Great Depression. The building features a warming kitchen, a bridal suite, bar area and a large deck overlooking Havice Valley.

Ray Vernon Estate also has available Amish-built solid wood tables and chairs for use at no extra cost. Located at 45 Rustic Mountain Drive, Milroy, the Ray Vernon Estate is currently accepting reservations for 2020 and 2021. To make a reservation for weddings, receptions, showers, reunions, parties, corporate events or any special occasion, call (717) 348-4698. You can also contact the estate on their Facebook page at www.facebook/RayVernonEstate/.
