Two Lewistown residents jailed on corruption charges

LEWISTOWN — Two Lewistown residents face a combined 44 felony charges related to corruption of minors and incest stemming from incidents that began in 2016.

Shawn M. Dreese, 47, is awaiting a preliminary hearing scheduled for 9 a.m. July 17 before Magisterial District Judge Jack Miller. He is being held in the Mifflin County Correctional Facility in lieu of $400,000 bail.

Josephine A. Zinn, 32, was arraigned July 3 before Miller. A preliminary hearing was held Wednesday. She is being held in the Mifflin County Correctional Facility in lieu of $200,000 bail.

According to the Affidavit of Probable Cause, the Lewistown Borough Police Department received complaints from Mifflin County Children and Youth Services that Dreese and Zinn had sexually assaulted their children.

During police interviews, Zinn said that for about two years prior to July 2018, while she and Dreese lived on Logan Street, Lewistown, Dreese would direct their two children, who were between the ages of 2 and 5, to perform acts upon her and she would not resist.

Dreese is charged with two counts of criminal solicitation–rape of child, two counts of criminal solicitation–involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with child, four counts of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a child, two counts of unlawful contact with a minor–sexual offenses, all first-degree felonies; two counts of criminal solicitation–incest of minor under 13, felonies to the second degree; two counts of endangering the welfare of children, two counts of indecent assault of a person under 13, two counts of unlawful contact with a minor–sexual offenses, two counts of indecent assault of a person less than 13, two counts of unlawful contact with a minor–sexual offenses and four counts of corruption of minors–defendant age 18 or above, all third-degree felonies.

Zinn is charged with first degree felonies, two counts of rape of child, two counts of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with child, two counts statutory sexual assault: 11 years older, two counts unlawful contact with a minor–sexual offense, second degree felonies, two counts of incest of a minor under 13, two counts of sexual assault, third degree felonies, two counts of endangering the welfare of children, two counts of indecent assault of a person less than 13 and two counts of corruption of minors–defendant age 18 or above.
