LEWISTOWN — Mifflin County fire crews responded to a garage fire that occurred at approximately 4:12 p.m. at 7930 U.S. Highway 522 South Tuesday afternoon.

The fire reportedly occurred inside a garage on a property in Oliver Township, Mifflin County. West Granville Fire Co. was in charge of the scene. Chief Donald Price III reported only minor content damage was sustained during the fire, but one person sustained non-life threatening burn injuries.

According to the Mifflin County Communications Center, East Derry Fire Co., FAME EMS, McVeytown EMS, United Fire and Rescue, Brooklyn Fire Co., McVeytown Fire Co., City Hook and Ladder Fire Co., Junction Fire Co., Granville Fire Co. and Newton-Wayne Fire Co. were initially called to the scene, but several crews were called off as the fire came under control.
