LIHEAP now in progress

LEWISTOWN — The cost of home heating will have a major impact on monthly budgets. To assist people with these rising costs, the Pennsylvania Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program, or LIHEAP is now in progress.

This fuel assistance program is available to people of all ages who meet the income guidelines. Individuals with a monthly income less than $1,518 or a two-person household with a monthly income less than $2,058 qualify for the grant.

To apply for this grant, or to determine eligibility, residents must contact the assistance office in the county in which he or she resides. In Mifflin County, call (717) 248-6746.
