¯Hit and run–Lewistown police are investigating a hit and run incident that occurred at approximately 8:02 p.m. on Dec. 22 on Chestnut Street in Lewistown.

According to the report, an unknown vehicle struck a parked blue Ford Expedition, owned by a 40-year-old female, of Burnham, causing minor damage. A witness on scene believed the striking vehicle was possibly a black or blue Chevrolet pickup truck. Anybody with information regarding this incident is encouraged to contact the Lewistown Police Department.

¯Warrant service–Melissa Kibe, 38, of Lewistown, was arrested following a warrant service that occurred at approximately 7:55 p.m. on Dec. 24 on West Fifth Street in Lewistown.

According to the report, Lewistown police responded to 604 West Fifth Street for a report of domestic dispute. Following investigation, Kibe was found to have warrants out of Juniata County and Philadelphia. She was later placed under arrest and transported to the Mifflin County Correctional Facility.

¯Crash–Lewistown police responded to a vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 9:41 a.m. on Dec. 28 in the 300 block of Shaw Avenue in Lewistown.

According to the report, Tyler A. Miller, 27, struck an unoccupied, parked vehicle owned by Dolores C. Roberts, 55.

¯Contraband–Rachel Louise McCaffrey, 24, was charged for possession of contraband following an incident that occurred at approximately 2 p.m. on Dec. 28 at the Mifflin County Correctional Facility.

According to the report, McCaffrey self-surrendered to the Mifflin County Correctional Facility to serve a sentence and reportedly entered the establishment concealing a controlled substance, with the intent to use the substance during her incarceration. She was later charged with possession of contraband, entering a correctional facility and possession of a controlled substance by inmate.

¯Theft–Timothy Knepp, 34, was charged for theft following an incident that occurred at approximately 3:06 p.m. on Dec. 28 on South Main Street in Lewistown.

According to the report, Raquel Woods, 46, stated that she was at the Brooklyn Fire House bar on the night prior when she had $200 in cash stolen from her purse. Officers obtained video surveillance footage and identified Timothy Knepp as the offender. Knepp was later charged with theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property.

¯Warrant service–James S. Varner, 31, was taken into custody following a warrant service that occurred at approximately 10:09 a.m. on Dec. 29 on South Spruce Street in Lewistown.

According to the report, officers were dispatched to the 100 block of South Spruce Street for a disorderly conduct complaint. Upon arrival at the scene, officers identified Varner and found that he had active warrants. Varner was later taken into custody and transported to the Mifflin County Correctional Facility.

¯Public drunkenness–Ivan Mcgary, 72, of Lewistown, was arrested for public drunkenness following an incident that occurred at approximately 10:17 p.m. on Dec. 30 on East Hale Street in Lewistown.

According to the report, officers responded to East Hale Street for a report of a male who was lying on the sidewalk. Officers identified the man as Mcgary and found him to be highly intoxicated. He was later transported to the hospital for treatment and arrested for public drunkenness.

¯DUI–Scott Stuck Jr., 27, of Lewistown, was taken into custody for driving under the influence following an incident that occurred at approximately 1:12 a.m. on Dec. 31 on Valley Street in Lewistown.

According to the report, officers conducted a traffic stop on Valley Street and found Stuck to be driving under the influence. He was later transported to the hospital for a blood draw. Charges for the incident are pending lab results.
