¯Coffee with friends–10 a.m.-1 p.m., Lack Tuscarora EMS, East Waterford. For seniors, no cost. There will be crafts, exercise, speakers and Bible study. Light lunch provided.

¯Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day tribute–12:45 p.m., Pennsylvania Military Museum, 51 Boal Ave., Boalsburg. Event to feature short ceremony remembering the Pearl Harbor attack in 1941 as well as a film inside the museum.

¯Chief Logan High School Class of 1968 dinner–5 p.m., Angelo’s, state Route 103, Lewistown.

¯First Friday Contra Dance/Old Time Country Dance–7:30-10:30 p.m., State College Friends School, 1900 University Drive. Dances will be taught and are easy to learn. Bruce Young will call the dances to live music by Strath Hanna. Beginners, experienced dancers and groups are welcome, no partner needed. Steps are similar to square dancing. ¯Mifflin County Library closed–All branches of the Mifflin County Library will be closed for staff in-service. The library will resume normal operating hours on Saturday, Dec. 8. ¯Fly-in, drive-in, walk-in breakfast–8-10:30 a.m., Mifflin County Airport. Event is sponsored by Experimental Aircraft Association, Chapter 518.

¯Community Clothes Closet–9 a.m.-noon, Big Valley Alliance Church, 50 S. Kish St., Belleville. Clothing, shoes, disposable diapers and baby wipes available for free. Information: (717) 483-6951.

¯Kris Kringle Market Gift Show–9 a.m.-3p.m., Lewistown Armory, 28 Armory Lane. Numerous vendors with many new products for the season, great food stand. A silent auction will begin at 2 p.m. There will be a shuttle service to and from the top parking lot all day.

¯Brick Saturday–9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m., Mifflin County Library, Lewistown, and Kish Branch Library, Belleville. Kids of all ages can come and play with Legos provided by the library.

¯Church bazaar–10 a.m.-2 p.m., St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Main St., Milroy. Baked goods, lunch stand, hand knits, fresh greens, centerpieces, wreaths and handcrafted holiday decorations.

¯Lewistown High School Class of 1953 lunch–noon, Belvue Restaurant. Graduates, nongraduates and spouses welcome.

¯LHS Class of 1957 Christmas party–5 p.m., St. John’s Lutheran Church, North Main Street, Lewistown. Please bring a covered dish.

¯Millerstown Lions Club tree and street lighting ceremony–7 p.m., the square of Millerstown. Event will feature multi-colored lights on the tree and Christmas caroling will be held before the switch is flipped. Children are also welcome to meet Santa and receive some Christmas treats.

¯Coffee house style concert–7 p.m., Ellen Chapel Church. Bernie Rich performs at 7 p.m., Unusual Suspects provide a sing-along at 8:15 p.m. Coffee, punch and snacks provided. Donations accepted.

Sunday, Dec. 9

¯Community soup and sandwich lunch–11 a.m.-1 p.m., McVeytown Firehouse. Donations accepted at the door will benefit local Boy Scouts.

¯Organ and piano recital–3 p.m., Lewistown Presbyterian Church, 17 E. 3rd St., Lewistown. Music of the season will be presented by local musicians John Haubrick, Richard Hamler, Joyce Hutchinson, Terri Limes, Joan Loewen, Patty Loudenslager, Ellen Miller, and Beth Myers.

¯Christmas tree lighting–3:30-5:30 p.m., Brown’s Mill Square in Reedsville. Event also includes Christmas carols by the Reedsville United Methodist Church, Santa Clause, a Christmas selfie backdrop, letters to Santa collection and other fun activities.

¯Outside walk-through nativity–5-7 p.m., Journey Christian Church, 10110 William Penn Highway, Thompsontown. Held weather permitting. Light refreshments to follow.

Monday, Dec. 10

¯Clothing and shoe donations–8 a.m.-noon, Evangel Baptist Church, 375 W. Fifth St., Lewistown. A volunteer will be there to assist.

¯West Snyder High School Class of 1959 breakfast–8 a.m., Rayauda’s Restaurant, Beaver Springs.
