Crews respond to chicken house fire near McVeytown

MCVEYTOWN — At approximately 9:35 p.m. Monday night crews were called to 164 Mountain Lane in Bratton Township, near McVeytown, in response to a fully involved chicken house fire.
According to scanner reports, due to the confined location, crews were being shuttled in.
Crews that were called were McVeytown, West Granville, Granville, Junction, Newton Wayne and Mount Union fire departments. According to Mifflin County Dispatch, further departments were still being dispatched at appoximately 10:30 p.m.
