¯12th annual free Thanksgiving meal–11 a.m.-2 p.m., Nov. 22, Beaver Lutheran Church, Route 522 between Beaver Springs and Beavertown. Come and bring a friend. Takeout is available and transportation or delivery is available for area shut-ins in the western Snyder County areas of Beavertown, Beaver Springs, Troxelville and McClure by calling the church. ¯Applying for government jobs–10-11:30 a.m., Nov. 26, PA CareerLink, Mifflin County. Learn how to apply online for state government jobs. Participants will have the opportunity to create online government employment profiles and apply for jobs. ¯Make-it, take it–12:30-3 p.m., Nov. 26, LUMINA Center. During the event, children will make handmade Christmas gifts for the family including perfumes and tea wreaths. Any child in first grade and older is welcome to attend. Children must be registered and pay a $5 nonrefundable fee. Registration is limited to 24 children. ¯Bingo–doors open at 5 p.m., begins at 6:30 p.m., Middlecreek Area Community Center, 67 Elm St., Beaver Springs. 20 games of bingo as well as special games, concession stand, door prizes and 50/50 drawings. ¯Juniata Valley Community Support Program of Mifflin, Huntingdon and Juniata counties–10:30 a.m., Mifflin County Courthouse Annex, West Third Street, Lewistown. CSP is a coalition of mental health consumers, family members and professionals working to help adults with serious mental health disorders, illnesses and co-occurring disorders, live successfully in the community. All are welcome.

¯St. John’s Holiday Gift Show–9 a.m.-5 p.m., St. John’s Lutheran Church, Belleville. 19 local vendors will be selling their hand-crafted and fine art gift items. All proceeds benefit the Casey Marthouse Memorial Scholarship Fund that St. John’s offers to families who are in need of financial assistance.
