An oldies dance is planned for Nov. 3 at the Juniata Valley YMCA to benefit Habitat For Humanity, Mifflin County Chapter. Sponsored by the First Baptist Church in Lewistown, the dance will be held from 7 to 10 p.m. with music by deejay Charlie Stump and entertainment by Greg DeVecchis on the accordion and dancers from the Miss Stephanie’s School of Dance. Preparing for the event are, from left, Stump, Barb Jones, board chair of First Baptist; Bernard Carpenter, YMCA board; Lori Henry, Habitat representative; and John McCullough, director of YMCA. Tickets are $10 and may be purchased at the YMCA or the Burnham OIP prior to the event or at the door. Refreshments may also be purchased at the event. Carpenter hopes the event also draws attention to all the services the YMCA has to offer people of all ages in the community.
