Man charged with one count of strangulation

ALLENSVILLE — A 37-year-old man was charged Sunday with one felony count strangulation after choking another person, according to a Pennsylvania State Police news release.

Sean L. Kukorlo, of Allensville, reportedly threatened and held an acquaintance against that person’s will and choked the acquaintance, according to a police report. Court documents state that Kukorlo and the acquaintance were arguing in his Allensville residence on Sunday when the acquaintance attempted to leave the residence and Kukorlo grabbed the accuser’s arm, pulled the accuser back inside the residence, pushed the accuser onto the couch and proceeded to put his hands around the accuser’s throat. The accuser reported to police that Kukorlo threatened to kill the accuser and punched the accuser in the chest.

PSP arrested and interviewed Kukorlo, who then admitted to the assault, according to court documents. Police reported Kukorlo related he has “an anger problem,” but said he does not remember much about the incident.

Kukorlo was charged with a total of six criminal counts and arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Jonathan Reed. Kukorlo was committed to Mifflin County Correctional Facility, unable to post the $100,000 bail set and is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on Oct. 3.
