Elementary students exhibit improvement in math, reading
MIFFLINTOWN — Elementary students are exceeding their goals in math and reading using the eSpark program.
An end of year review for the 2017-18 school year was presented to the Juniata County School District board of school directors Wednesday night during its workshop meeting that compiled results from the eSpark Learning program.
According to eSpark’s website, the program offers research-based learning opportunities through the use of apps, games and videos aligned with student needs.
Also during the meeting, Superintendent Keith Yarger announced that the board plans to vote on the districts comprehensive plan during its Oct. 18 voting meeting.
The comprehensive plan is used as a framework for data-driven and research-based district and school planning.
Once approved, the plan will be in display, then submitted to the state for approval.
