Lewistown First Friday

On the first Friday of each month, small businesses and organizations show their support of music, art, food and community in downtown Lewistown and the surrounding area. The schedule for September includes:

Downtown Lewistown

¯ Darsky’s Cafe –All day, free drink with any purchase

¯ Snowflake’s on the Square — 10 a.m.-7 p.m., 25 percent off all dogs and dog treats. Bring your furry friend for a picture with the Mifflin County Goose. Donations accepted for ROFF Rescue.

¯ The Square Cafe and Bakery — 11 a.m.-8 p.m., apple dumplings while supply lasts; 5-8 p.m., $2 off smoked ribs

¯ South Hills School of Business and Technology — 4-6 p.m., Wild Geese Chase, follow clues to find the hidden geese. Free popcorn.

¯ Five Points Screen Printing — 5-7:30 p.m., screen print your own Goose Day T-shirt for $10; provide your own dark colored shirt to print for $8.

¯ Hometown Pottery — 6-9 p.m., grand opening; food, drinks, community

¯ Mifflin-Juniata Arts Council — 7-9 p.m., make goose feathers, free

¯ East End Coffee Company — 7-9 p.m., visual art by Mifflin County High School AP arts class; music by Dylan Miller

¯ Evolution Arts Center — 7-10 p.m., First Annual Chili Cook-off, $7 cover charge.
