Harris offers Veteran Outreach hours
LEWISTOWN – Rep. Adam Harris (R-Mifflintown) will be offering veterans affairs outreach hours by appointment in his district office from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 19, at 3 Monument Square on the third floor in Lewistown.
Dan Falls, an accredited field service officer from the American Legion Department of Pennsylvania, will be available to assist veterans with a variety of issues.
“While I value working for every resident of the 82nd District, helping our veterans by offering monthly assistance hours is a service that I am especially honored to provide,” Harris said. “I am humbled by their dedication to our country and look forward to helping them in any way I can.”
Falls will assist veterans in filing VA claims for disability compensation, disability increase and rating decision appeals, veteran or surviving spouse pension, burial and death benefits, addition of dependents, dependency and indemnity compensation, as well as other veterans’ benefits. Veterans do not need to be a member of the American Legion to receive these services.
Appointments are necessary. To schedule an appointment with the field service officer or for more information, call (717) 242-0423.
