Researching employers ahead of time, jobseekers will receive a list of employers’ available positions, giving them the opportunity to customize their resumes prior to the Job Fair on Oct. 10 at Rec Park Community Center in Lewistown. ¯Coffee with friends — 10 a.m.-1 p.m., Lack Tuscarora EMS, East Waterford. For seniors; no cost. There will be crafts, exercise, speakers and Bible study. Light lunch provided.

¯Bratton, McVeytown, Oliver Class of 1955 luncheon –noon, OIP, Burnham.

¯Watoto Children’s Choir — 6:30 p.m., New Life Church, 101 N. Beech St., Lewistown. The choir will perform their brand new album, ‘We Will Go’ while sharing a message of hope for Africa’s most vulnerable children and women.

¯Lost Creek Presbyterian Church Annual Salad Bar — 11 am to 1 pm., Main Street, McAlisterville beside the Fire Hall. Large variety of meat salads, pasta salads, vegetable salads, etc., all you can eat in for $6.00. Or, take out plate for $6.00. Saturday, Sept. 22

¯All-you-can-eat breakfast buffet — 6 a.m., Rescue Hose Company No. 20, 222 S. Sassafras St., Beavertown. Proceeds benefit the fire company.

¯Clothing closet — 8-11 a.m., Beaver Lutheran Church, Beaver Springs.

¯ALS Ray Matthews Memorial Bike Tour –9 a.m., Bender Park, Reedsville. Participants can choose from a 12, 20 or 50-mile ride through the Amish countryside on mostly flat terrain. Rest stops along the route will serve snacks and drinks. Event is rain or shine. A meal will be provided to riders following the tour. Riders may also get free pizza at Michele’s OIP Restaurant. Registration fee is $25.

¯Thompsontown Fall Fest –9 a.m.-3 p.m., Haldeman Park, near the tennis/basketball court. Craft and direct sales vendors, kids games, face painting, pet parade, paddle wheel and Chinese auction. The Juniata County Food Pantry will be taking donations of nonperishable foods, diapers, wipes, laundry detergent, dish detergent, toilet paper and paper towels. Shine only event. Event sponsored by the Thompson Fire Company.

¯Brick Saturday — 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m., Mifflin County Library, Lewistown, and Kish Branch Library, Belleville. Kids of all ages can come and play with Legos provided by the library.

¯Keystone State Muscle Cars weekly cruise in — 5-8:30 p.m., Milroy exit off of Route 322, across from Tom’s Service Plaza. All events are free and all cars, trucks, motorcycles, etc. are welcome.
