Local man pleads guilty to criminal trespass and theft

LEWISTOWN–Logan L. Kinslow, 18, of McClure, pleaded guilty to criminal trespass and theft on Tuesday, after negotiating amended charges with District Attorney Christopher Torquato.

Kinslow was sentenced to a minimum of time-served and a maximum of 15 months incarceration, making him immediately eligible for parole, as well as three months probation, consecutive to the parole.

According to court documents, Lewistown Borough Police Department responded to a report of a robbery on Marble Street. in June. The victim told police Kinslow entered the residence through the front door and walked into the first bedroom from the stairs. The victim reportedly grabbed a few knives for defensive purposes, stood in the living room and called out “Logan, is that you?” The victim witnessed Kinslow leave the residence, get into a two-door sedan parked at the intersection of Marble and Logan streets and drive onto Logan Street. The victim reported over $460 in items stolen from the residence, including a video game console and three games.

A neighbor to the victim told police she observed a male matching Kinslow’s description pull up the residence in a gray van with an unidentified female driver, then proceed to leave the video game console and games at the door in a gym bag. Police retrieved the bag which contained the reportedly stolen items. The neighbor identified Kinslow to LPD as the male who dropped off the items via Kinslow’s Facebook profile.

In addition to supervision, Kinslow is financially responsible to pay the costs of prosecution and $500 in fines as well as serving 40 hours of community service.
