Accomplice charged in string of burglaries

Yeagertown man faces 16 criminal counts

LEWISTOWN–A 25-year-old Yeagertown man was charged Wednesday with 16 criminal counts, including four felony counts of burglary, after police determined he burglarized several Huntingdon county camping cabins with an accomplice, according to court documents.

Kaleb Eaton reportedly admitted to burglarizing cabins in West Licking Creek, the Spruce Run Hunting Club Camp and the Hemlock Springs camp sometime between May 11 and May 26, 2017, with Kelly Decker, 31, of Lewistown, according to court documents. Eaton reportedly accompanied police to the vicinity of the incidents to point out several of the camps which he remembered burglarizing. Police observed severe damage to three of the cabin doors and one cabin sustained damage to the front window pane. A small amount of kindling wood and a homemade camp sign were also reported missing from one of the cabins, according to court documents.

Eaton was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Jack Miller and committed to Mifflin County Correctional Facility, unable to post the $150,000 bail set. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for August 15.

In July, Decker, was charged with 14 criminal counts, including four felony counts burglary and one count forgery, after an investigation determined Decker was involved in these incidents and that she forged an alibi from her alleged employer, according to court documents. Decker was released on unsecured bail on August 1 and is scheduled for formal arraignment on September 11, before President Judge David Barron.
