MCAST seeks nominees for anniversary awards
LEWISTOWN –The Mifflin County Academy of Science and Technology is seeking nominations to honor distinguished alumni during the 50th anniversary awards program at its inaugural Homecoming on Oct. 24. Individuals will be selected for the awards based on the following criteria:
¯ The person selected must be a former student of The Mifflin County Academy of Science and Technology or any of the prior school entities (Mifflin-Juniata Career and Technology Center or Juniata Mifflin Counties Area Vocational-Technical School).
¯ Each nominee will be evaluated based on outstanding performance in their field of expertise, contributions to society, service to the school and other factors.

Health talk to focus on vaccinations
BELLEVILLE – Valley View Retirement Community announced that its medical director, Dr. Paul Koberna, will discuss vaccinations in his monthly “Health Talk.”
This event is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. June 20 in the Oakwood Center at Valley View and is open to all residents (Haven, Terrace, and Village) along with their family members.
