Mount Union woman charged with burglary
Corman also charged with theft for allegedly taking $1,000 in cash
SHIRLEYSBURG–Sheena Renee Corman, 32, of Mount Union, was charged Tuesday with burglary, criminal trespass, and theft.
According to court documents, Corman entered the unlocked door of a Shirleysburg residence and removed $1000 from a resident’s dresser. The alleged victim returned home, confronted Corman, and told her to leave, which Corman did without incident. The alleged victim checked the residence for missing items and discovered the $1000 was removed from the dresser.
The alleged victim identified Corman to police because of knowing Corman for several years, according to court documents. The alleged victim reported that Corman did not have permission to be in the residence. Corman told police she was looking for money that the alleged victim owed her and alleged she never went any farther into the residence than the living room.
Corman was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Lisa Covert. A hearing is scheduled for July 11.
