Fayette Township votes down two referendums

MIFFLINTOWN– Fayette Township voted against two referendums on Tuesday night regarding the sale of beer and liquor licenses within the township, according to unofficial election results.

The first referendum asked voters, “Do you favor the granting of malt and brewed beverage retail dispenser licenses on premises where sold in the township of Fayette, county of Juniata, Pennsylvania?” Of the total 849 responses, 545 voted against the referendum.

The second question asked, “Do you favor the granting of liquor licenses for the sale of liquors in the township of Fayette, county of Juniata, Pennsylvania?” Of the 850 responses to the question, 554 voters chose “no,” according to unofficial results.
