Health Screen program coming to Belleville
BELLEVILLE — The Locust Grove Mennonite Church is sponsoring a community Health Screen on May 19. Health Screen is a preventive health program that can determine current or potential health problems.
The event will be held from 7 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at the church located at 3358 W. Main St., in Belleville. The cost of the health screen is $60 and consists of comprehensive blood testing and a self-scoring health lifestyle evaluation. Other optional tests can be added including TSH, PSA and vitamin D for an additional cost. A copy of your blood tests results will be mailed to your home.
Payment may be made by cash, check or money order, at the time of service. The pricing is good on the day of the event only.

Diabetes program to be held in Beaver Springs
BEAVER SPRINGS — The Union-Snyder Agency on Aging, Inc. and Geisinger Health Plan will sponsor Live Your Best Life with Diabetes at the Beaver Springs Senior Center, 55 Elm St., Beaver Springs.
Live Your Best Life with Diabetes is a free diabetes self-management program. This program has been proven to be effective in helping people to manage their diabetes. It is supported by the Pennsylvania Department of Aging, and is being offered in many counties throughout Pennsylvania.
Educational materials will be provided, and are available in Spanish and audiobook. The program will be held from 9 until 11:30 a.m. each Wednesday May 2 through June 6.
