Designer purse auction to benefit local Boy Scouts
BELLEVILLE — On April 15 at Brookmere Winery in Belleville, the Totes for Tomorrow’s Scouts committee will hold the Sixth Annual Designer Purse Auction to benefit the Juniata Valley Council, Boy Scouts of America from 2:30 to 4 p.m. The doors will open to preview the purses beginning at 1 p.m.
To date, these events have grossed more than $50,000 to benefit the Seven Mountains Scout Camp through repairs, upgrades and projects to improve the camping grounds and facilities. This 230-acre, year-round facility is utilized by Scouts from Mifflin, Juniata, Huntingdon and Centre counties, as well as being available as a rental facility to the community and social service groups.
The Totes for Tomorrow’s Scouts Designer Purse Auction allows the opportunity to bid, through a live auction setting courtesy of Chesney Auctioneering LLC, on new designer and name-brand purses.
There are bags of many styles, colors, prints and sizes, including, Michael Kors, Kate Spade, Coach, Isaac Mizrahi, Dooney & Burke, Marc Jacobs, Tory Burch, Cole Haan and many more. In addition to the live auction, a silent auction will also feature new and gently-used designer bags.
The Beehive Bash provides an opportunity to take home unique, trendy and stylish gifts, including, but not limited to, a Yeti Cooler, Tiffany Necklace, lottery tickets, Kindle Fire, Michael Kors watch and an Echo Dot. The event is complete with door prizes, complementary refreshments, wine tastings and a custom glass that is yours to keep.
One lucky person will take home a one-carat emerald cut Morganite and diamond accented ring in 14K rose gold compliments of Foss Jewelers in Lewistown.
