Snyder County 4-H now accepting new members

MIDDLEBURG — The next generation is growing now and 4-H programs provide a haven to explore their interests and build the skills and confidence to follow their dreams in fields like healthcare, agriculture, STEM and government. Snyder County 4-H offers these opportunities to boys and girls ages 5 to18 (as of January 1).

Snyder County is home to clubs offering horse, dairy, beef, lamb, goat, swine, rabbit and poultry projects and non-animal projects such as archery and other shooting sports, cake decorating, scrapbooking, stamp art, jewelry making, cooking and more. Members can participate in as many projects as they want for an annual materials fee of $20 (additional program fee of $25 for members enrolled in horse projects).

In addition to the county program, there are opportunities at the district and state level for members to participate in during the year.

Clubs are accepting new members now. Enrollment in animal projects will be open until Feb.1. If
