Lewistown Police Department

¯ Criminal mischief — 10:36 a.m. — Oct. 27 — Officers responded to 73 Chestnut St., Lewistown, for a disorderly conduct complaint.

Through the investigation it was found that Saturn Wirrick, 44, was upset with the staff at the office of Dr. John Smolcic about business policy. Wirrick left the building and slammed a door against a wall causing damage. Wirrick was cited for criminal mischief.

¯ Trespassing — Nov. 16 — Officers responded to 69 Central Avenue for an assault complaint.

Through an investigation, it was found that Marlin Leonard Karschner III, entered into the residence of Nikki Mamallis after being told several times to leave. Karschner was charged with defiant trespass and harassment.

¯ Driving under the influence — 11:07 p.m. — Nov. 17 — Police conducted a routine traffic stop on the 1000 block of West Fourth Street on a vehicle driven by Charnelle Land, 27, of Allensville, and was seen driving toward Wal-Mart with no headlights on and swerving on the road.

Upon approach to the vehicle the officer noticed an odor of alcohol. Upon breath and field sobriety tests, Land was arrested for DUI and charges were filed.

¯ Public drunkenness, disorderly conduct — 1:27 a.m. — Nov. 22 — Officers responded to 344 W. Fifth St., for a report that Jeffrey Allen Michael, 36, was beating on the front door.

When officers arrived on scene Michael was found laying on the sidewalk in front of the home, highly intoxicated. He was cited for public drunkenness and disorderly conduct.

¯ Hit and run crash — 1:32 a.m. — Nov. 22 — Police were dispatched to a hit and run crash on the 300 block of Bratton Avenue.

Upon arrival officers spoke with a witness who observed a white male driver of a red sedan crash into a parked vehicle owned by Imagee Hoy. Police were unable to find the red sedan. The vehicle should have damage to the passenger front bumper and possible white paint transfer. Anyone with information is asked to call police at (717) 248-6716.

¯ Public drunkenness — 3 a.m. — Nov. 25 — Officers encountered Amy L. Cahn, 39, on South Walnut Street near Shaw Avenue. Cahn was found to be intoxicated and was cited for public drunkenness.

¯ Hit and run accident — 4 a.m. — Nov. 25 — Police responded to a hit and run accident at 300 Silversand Avenue, at the Mifflin County Housing Authority.

Upon reviewing cameras, it was found that an older model, single cab, Dodge Ram truck, backed into a sign causing damage and then left the scene. Anyone with information about the accident is asked to contact the Lewistown Police Department at (717) 248-6716 or (717) 248-9607.

¯ Theft — 9:02 a.m. — Nov. 26 — Police were dispatched to a theft of holiday decorations from the front porch of a home on the 300 Block of West Fifth Street.

Upon further investigation, it was discovered that multiple homes were missing holiday decorations from their residences. It was discovered that the thefts occurred between 7 p.m. and 8 a.m. Items included two snowmen made of wood, one approximately 3 feet tall and the other approximately 4 to 5 feet tall. Anyone with information is asked to call police at (717) 248-6176.

¯ Public intoxication, trespassing, resisting arrest — 7:12 p.m. — Nov. 26 — Officers were dispatched to 109 W. Fourth St., the Verizon Store, for a report of suspicious activity.

Upon arrival officers found a visibly intoxicated Andrew Joseph Pillot, 27, of Lewistown, trespassing on Verizon property. Pillot was given orders and refused, leading officers on a food pursuit. During the pursuit Pillot trespassed on private property causing damage to a fence. Pillot was arrested shortly after and taken to the Mifflin County Correctional Facility on charges of trespassing, resisting arrest, public intoxication, criminal mischief and possession of drug paraphernalia. Pillot was on parole in Mifflin County at the time of arrest.

¯ Disorderly conduct — 10:45 p.m. — Nov. 27 — Police were dispatched to the area of 120 Valley St., for a report of shots fired.

After arriving on scene, checking the area on foot, it was determined that there was no gunfire, but that a male was in the streets yelling and banging on things. Officers arrived at 114 Valley St., Apt. B and found Mountain Ritter, 21, who said he sent a text to another male, who showed up to fight him. Ritter said he invited the male into the street to fight, but the man did not follow. Ritter told police he then began to yell and hit things to entice the other person to come out and fight, but no fight occurred.

Ritter was issued a non-traffic citation for engaging in disorderly conduct by making unreasonable noise.

Mount Union Police Department

¯ Accident — 5:49 a.m. — Dec. 3 — Police investigated a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of North Jefferson and West Juniper streets.

Pennsylvania State Police Huntingdon

¯ Criminal mischief — 5 p.m., Nov. 10 and 1 p.m., Nov. 24 — Unknown actors damaged several trees by trimming off some small limbs in Henderson Township on property owned by a 34-year-old Mifflin County man. The incident remains under investigation.

¯ Crash, other — 2:22 p.m. — Dec. 1 — A 2004 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Edward Cave, 30, of Huntingdon, was traveling south on Trough Creek Valley Pike at its intersection with Sunrise Acres Road, when a 2014 Hyundai Sonata, driven by Charles Hicks, 67, traveled into his path.

Hicks hit Cave causing Hicks to spin around, coming to a final stop facing south. Both were wearing seat belts and suffered no apparent injuries.
