Commissioners announce public meeting agenda

LEWISTOWN — The Mifflin County Commissioners held a brief workshop meeting Thursday morning to announce items that will be on the public meeting agenda next week.
New business includes:
¯Tax exoneration requests for Lewistown Borough and Brown, Wayne and Derry townships.
¯Request by Menno Township for county aid in the amount of $2,912.44, from the 2017 liquid fuels allocation.
¯Project modification request in the amount of $16,505, for the Intermediate Punishment Grant.
¯Resignation of Stacey Leach, Children and Youth caseworker; resignation of Travis McCullough, corrections food service manager; hiring of Rachel Jimenez as Children and Youth caseworker; promotion of Laurie Kozak to chief sheriff deputy; promotion of Joshua Garver to warden; and resignation of Linsey Landis, sheriff deputy.
The commissioners will hold a public voting meeting at 9 a.m. Dec. 21 at the Mifflin County Courthouse.
