Lewistown Police Department

¯ Control of alarm devices — Nov. 5 — Police cited Tractor Supply Company, of Lewistown, with control of alarm devices.

Tractor Supply Company has caused more than three false alarms which prompted officers to respond to their business multiple times within in a 12 month period. The citation was filed through Magisterial District Judge Jack Miller’s office.

¯ Suspicious activity — Nov. 8 — Officers were advised that were was a female subject trying to get into vehicles in the parking lot of Wal-Mart.

After arriving on scene, Suzann House, 42, of Huntingdon, had her information run through the Mifflin County Communications Center. A short time later, officers were advised that House had an active felony warrant out of Huntingdon County and she was placed under arrest. While searching through House’s belongings officers found items of drug paraphernalia. She was taken to the Mifflin County Correctional Facility and charges were filed through Magisterial District Judge Jack Miller’s office.

¯ Possession of drug paraphernalia — 3:16 p.m. — Oct. 28 — Officers were told that a male was seen outside of the Giant Food Store on Dorcas Street, with what appeared to be an improvised device used to smoke controlled substances.

Upon making contact with John Baumgardner Jr., 39, he was found to be in possession of a metallic tube and a scrubbing pad. He admitted to officers that he manufactured the device with the intent of smoking buprenorphine with it. Baumgardner was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

Mifflin County Regional Police Department

¯ Theft — Nov. 10 — Police were called to the Weis Store in Burnham after an internal investigation by Weis Asset Protection managers found that Patricia Kuhn, 51, of Lewistown, and Ryan Johnson, 24, of Reedsville, were participating in a fraudulent refund scheme.

The internal investigation showed that between Aug. 26 and Nov. 5 Kuhn and Johnson conspired to make 38 cash refunds totaling $1,440.58.

The pair will be charged with theft by deception, receiving stolen property and criminal conspiracy. Charges will be filed through the office of Magisterial District Judge Jonathan Reed.

Granville Township Police Department

¯ Disorderly conduct — Oct. 8 — Officers responded to a report of a disturbance at the Wal-Mart McDonald’s drive thru.

After an investigation, officers obtained McDonald’s video footage which showed Tiffany Elliott, 34, of Lewistown, getting out of her vehicle and hitting another female that was in the vehicle behind her. Citations of disorderly conduct and harassment were filed through Magisterial District Judge Jack Miller’s office.

¯ Crash, hit and run — Oct 27 — Officers charged Reina Izaguirre-Moran, 25, of Mifflintown, with accident involving damage to an unattended vehicle and failure to stop and give information after an investigation into a report of a hit and run accident in the Wal-Mart parking lot.

Video footage from the store revealed that Izaguirre-Moran hit another vehicle parked in the parking lot causing damage, before fleeing the scene. Citations were filed through Magisterial District Judge Jack Miller’s office.

¯ Endangering the welfare of a child — Oct. 30 — Officers were contacted in regard to an infant child that was left in a vehicle with no one around.

An investigation revealed that Hunter Shirey, 23, of Lewistown, left her infant child inside the vehicle while she was in the Dollar Tree near Wal-Mart. Charges of endangering the welfare of a child and leaving a child unattended in a motor vehicle, were filed through Magisterial District Judge Jack Miller’s office.

¯ Public drunkenness — Nov. 5 — Jason Dejesus, 36, of Lock Haven, was charged with public drunkenness after officers were alerted by a motorist traveling on the US Highway 22/322 bypass that there was a male subject walking along the shoulder of the highway vomiting.

Once on scene officers placed Dejesus under arrest and took him to the Mifflin County Correctional Facility.

Mount Union Police Department

¯ Suspicious activity, vehicle — 12:09 a.m. — Nov. 12 — Police responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle on North Jefferson Street, Mount Union. Through the course of the investigation, police were able to locate multiple bags of marijuana inside of the vehicle.
