Police: 3 hurt in Monday crash

Authorities seek help identifying one of suspected vehicles

MIFFLINTOWN — Three people were injured as a result of a late night crash in Juniata County late Monday night.

According to a news release from Pennsylvania State Police Lewistown, police and emergency vehicles responded to the area of 3860 Cedar Springs Road, near Doe Run Road, in Walker Township, at approximately 10:08 p.m. for a report of a two-vehicle accident with injuries.

According to the news release, a maroon Plymouth Breeze was traveling north on Cedar Springs Road when it traveled off the road and hit an embankment. The vehicle then began to skid and rolled several times before coming to a final stop in the center lane. According to the news release, the passenger of this vehicle, a 25-year-old male from Mifflin, was ejected from the vehicle, landing on the roadway of the opposing lane of travel.

According to the news release, a blue Kawasaki Motorcycle had been following the Plymouth Breeze and the operator, a 33-year-old man from Mifflintown, was unable to stop before hitting the vehicle.

The 25-year-old who was ejected from the vehicle told police that another vehicle hit him while he was lying on the road, according to the news release. No description of that vehicle is available at this time.

The driver of the Plymouth Breeze, a 23-year-old male from Mifflintown, also sustained injuries. The operator of the motorcycle and the Plymouth passenger were both transported to hospitals via Life Flight and Life Lion medical helicopters.
