MJAAA needs meal drivers for Milroy area

MILROY — The Mifflin-Juniata Area Agency on Aging is in urgent need for home-delivered meal drivers in Milroy and the surrounding areas to take a hot lunch to area homebound seniors.

We are in the need of full-time and substitute meal drivers.

Fountain Square Senior Center located at 283 Broad Street; Milroy needs drivers for Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Drivers will need access to a vehicle on their designated delivery days.

A reimbursement of $0.535 per mile is provided from home, throughout the route and return back to home. If interested in becoming a driver, contact Sarah

Workshops focus on financial aid

MIFFLINTOWN — There will be a Financial Aid Night at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, in the Juniata High School cafeteria.

A representative from PHEAA will present an overview of financial aid for students going to colleges, trades, nursing and business schools. All 12th grade students interested in continuing their education should attend with a parent or guardian.

There will be a free FAFSA Workshop at 10:30 a.m. on Oct. 21, at Juniata High School for anyone who wants expert help in completing the FAFSA. A PHEAA representative will go through each step of completing

the FAFSA.
