Pennsylvania State Police Lewistown

¯ Theft — 12:06 p.m. — June 29 — Kevin Ehrenzeller, 50, of Mifflintown, reported to Pennsylvania State Police Lewistown, that someone used his 80 Weis Club gas points at the Weis Store in Walker Township.

¯ DUI/Act 64 — 3:04 a.m. — June 30 — Troopers from Pennsylvania State Police discovered that a person was driving under the influence and the passenger of the vehicle had drug paraphernalia while driving along Dorcas Street, Lewistown. Charges were filed through Magisterial District Judge Jack Miller’s office.

¯ Harassment — 2:08 p.m. — June 30 — Two individuals were in a verbal argument that turned physical at 511 Smith Road, Fayette Township. As a result of an investigation one of the individuals was charged with harassment through Magisterial District Judge Barbara M. Lyter’s office.

¯ Crash, other cause — 7:39 p.m. — July 2 — A 2007 Harley Davidson Sportster operated by Adam Shawver, 32, of Coburn, was traveling east on U.S. 322 in Armagh Township when the motorcycle left the lane of travel while on a turn in the road.

The vehicle passed over the yellow center line and hit the concrete barrier to the left of travel lanes. The motorcycle then moved to the right shoulder and Shawver left the scene.

¯ Theft from a motor vehicle — 1-8 a.m. — July 3 — Unknown suspects entered the victim’s driveway along Alfarata Road and punctured the sidewall on all four tires of the vehicle and left with the vehicle key and key fob.

The suspects then fled in an unknown direction by unknown means.

¯ Criminal mischief — 8 a.m. — July 6 — Unknown suspects caused damage to the entry door to the water shed building located on Macedonia Gap Road, Fermanagh Township.

They fled the scene in an unknown direction. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 320-1010.

¯ Crash, other cause — 11:18 p.m. — July 6 — A single-vehicle crash occurred on state Route 35 north of Leister Valley Road, Fayette Township.

Aaron W. Rhone, 17, of Middleburg, failed to maintain control of his 2002 Hyundai Sonata causing it to leave the road and hit a utility pole. The vehicle came to a stop in a pond. No injuries were reported.

¯ DUI crash — 11:35 p.m. — July 8 — Nathan Thomas Lingafelt, 33, of Lilly, crashed his vehicle into a tree along Wharton Road, McVeytown.

Lingafelt was transported to Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital for treatment injuries and was subsequently arrested for DUI.

¯ Crash, other cause — 9:25 p.m. — July 9 — The crash occurred on William Penn Highway near Gill Road, Walker Township.

A 1998 Chevrolet S10 driven by Megan McNemar, 18, of Thompsontown, drove onto the gravel shoulder causing her to overcorrect the vehicle several times before traveling off the right side of road, hitting a group of trees. After hitting the trees McNemar’s vehicle flipped onto the driver’s side becoming stuck in the trees.

McNemar was evaluated on the scene by EMS and was found to be uninjured.

¯ Crash, other cause — 3:30 p.m. — July 7 — A crash occurred as a 2003 Chevrolet Malibu was traveling west on U.S. 22 in Greenwood Township.

The vehicle, driven by Joey Yohn, 43, of Mifflintown, became distracted and lost control of his vehicle causing it to hit the guide rail and the south-side bridge walk. The car then hit the north side bridge wall before coming to a stop.

Yohn suffered minor injuries as a result of the crash.
