Severe weather could hit Juniata Valley area
LEWISTOWN — Scattered and severe thunderstorms could be possible throughout today.
According to information from the National Weather Service in State College, damaging winds are the predominant hazard. Storms will also be capable of producing brief heavy down pours and
localized flooding.
Damaging thunderstorm winds could reach 60 mph and could also cause hail up to 1 inch in diameter, according to the release. The weather could be expected between 10 a.m. and 7 p.m.
The wind could cause damage and power outages. The NWS in State College also stated some localized and urban
flooding could occur.
