¯Furnishing drug-free urine–3:30 p.m.–Nov. 7–Police report Tabitha Ann Kerlin, 24, of Millerstown, provided drug free urine during a probation drug test.

¯Unsworn falsification–11:11 a.m.–July 1–Police report beginning an investigation at Nick’s Bargain & Variety II, in Fermanagh Township, due to a sale or transfer of firearm / unsworn falsification incident. The investigation showed Brandon Stine, 31, of Mifflintown, provided false information on a ATF form while attempting to purchase a firearm.

¯Cruelty to animals–6 p.m.–Nov. 6–Police report at 2758 Pheasant Valley Road, in Decatur Township, a cat was hot. Anyone with information is encouraged to call PSP at 320-1010.

¯DUI–12:01 p.m.–Nov. 3–Police report on North 4th Street in Port Royal, Jessica Marie Schlegel, 33, of Honey Grove, was found to be driving under the influence while attending a court hearing.

¯Disorderly conduct–1 a.m.–Oct. 30–Police report Brian Keith Esh, 30, of McVeytown, was highly intoxicated at the Hotel Wayne in Wayne Township. Esh was cited for disorderly conduct and public drunkenness.

¯Burglary–12:55 a.m.–Nov. 2–Police report Duane Rex Smith, 57, of Mexico, entered into a residence on Main Street, in Thompsontown, without permission. Smith was found to be impaired and in possession of marijuana paraphernalia.

¯Underage consumption–1:37 a.m.–Nov. 6–Police report conducting a traffic stop on the 600 Block Valley St., in Lewistown while on a routine patrol. During the stop it was determined that the passenger, Lane T. Kuhns, was underage and had been drinking.

¯Theft–11:29 a.m.–Oct. 27–Police report investigating a theft by unlawful taking from a residence on Arch Rock Road, in Fermanagh Township. Police report actor(s) acquired PPL and Direct TV services in the name of Joseph Land, 37, of Mifflintown, and the bills were not paid.

¯Theft–Oct. 16–Police report responding to 664 Main St., in Fayette Township to investigate a complaint of theft. A 51-year-old female from McAlisterville, related David Howell, 32, of McAlisterville, failed to return her vehicle even though the victim requested he return it.

¯DUI–4:28 p.m.–Oct. 20–Police report Gary Lee Freed of McClure, was arrested for driving under the influence at the 2700 block of Route 35 in Juniata County.

¯DUI–12:38 a.m.–Oct. 30–Police report encountering Zachery Tyler Sandgren, 27, of Lewistown, during a traffic stop. It was determined Sandgren was driving under the influence.

¯Sale of transfer of firearms–1:55 p.m.–Nov. 6–Police report investigating a report of a found handgun at 9 Lannys Lane, in Armagh Township. Police report Tyler Ralph Nicols, 28, of Milroy, hid a Ruger P89 9mm handgun at the base of a disabled vehicle on the property. The owner of the property found the handgun and reported it to police. The investigation indicated the handgun had been sold to Nicols and ownership was improperly transferred.

¯Crash–5:59 p.m.–Nov. 9–Police report investigating a one vehicle crash on Creek Road, in Beaver Township. According to police, Dennis Hockenberry, 27, of Milroy, was traveling south on Creek Road in a 2005 Dodge Dakota when he exited the roadway and struck a utility pole. After the impact, Hockenberry’s vehicle overturned onto its left side and came to rest facing west.

¯Theft–10:30 p.m. – 9:30 a.m.–Sept. 27 – 28–Police report unknown actor(s) proceeded to 14154 Gallagher St. in Shirley Township and removed a wallet belonging to Sierra Renae Copenhaver, of Mount Union,  from an unlocked vehicle. Patricia Wheeler, 33, of Mount Union, found the wallet lying outside her apartment. Wheeler took the wallet and used a few of the cards. Wheeler was charged with theft by deception and theft of property lost.

Lewistown Police Department

¯Attempted Theft–12:32 a.m.–Nov. 11–Police report patrolling the area of Church Lane and South Pine Road when a officer saw a suspicious male, later identified as Derek Lee Guthridge, 26, of Lewistown, inside a silver SUV in the parking lot near the Major League. The officer saw Guthridge exit the vehicle and began questioning him since there had been recent car break-ins. While investigating the activity, Guthridge fled on foot from the officer. Guthridge was eventually arrested on South Spruce Street and Valley Street and was charged with attempted theft from a motor vehicle, flight to avoid apprehension and possession of drug paraphernalia.

¯Robbery–5:53 p.m.–Sept. 12–Police report investigating a robbery at the Dollar General Store at 540 Shermans Valley Road, in New Bloomfield. The accused was identified as John Lucas, 45, of Millerstown, and later located in Delaware and charged with robbery.
