Lewistown Police Department

¯ Act 64 — 7:19 p.m. — Oct. 27 — Lewistown Borough Police Officers responded to 155 Valley St., Lewistown, to investigate a complaint by a tenant who could smell marijuana in the building.

Officers responded and an investigation led them to Apartment C. William James Clifford, 23, of Lewistown, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

¯ Theft — Sept. 23, 9 a.m.- Oct. 7, 6:53 p.m. — The theft took place when Britney Hostrand, of Mount Union, used the checking account of Luke Michael Bubb, of Mount Union, to make purchases to benefit her and without permission. Hostrand was charged through Magisterial District Judge Jack E. Miller’s office.

¯ Burglary — May 20- Oct. 20 — Between the months of May and October at 4500 Knob Ridge Road, Armagh Township, a cabin owned by Arthur and Geraldine Shields, of Red Lion, unknown suspects stole property from the cabin. Anyone with information is asked to call Pennsylvania State Police Lewistown

at 320-1010.

¯ DUI — 12:31 a.m. — Oct. 16 — Christopher Paul Folk, 40, of Mifflintown, was charged with driving under the influence following a traffic stop near Reds Diner, Derry Township. Charges were filed through Magisterial District Judge Jonathan Reed’s office.

¯ Crash — 5:13 p.m. — Oct. 16 — The two vehicle crash happened between a horse and buggy and a small SUV. The horse and buggy, driven by Jonathan Yoder, 22, of Milroy, was traveling west on New Lancaster Valley Road, when he lost control of the horse and traveled into the path of Kevin McElwain, 45, of Milroy, who was traveling east. The horse caused major damage to the SUV driven by McElwain, while the horse suffered only a minor injury. No other injuries were reported and no citations were issued.

¯ Crash — 2:39 a.m. — Oct. 17 — Two tractor trailers collided on U.S. Highway 322 about five miles west of the Milroy exit, Armagh Township, when Christopher Endicott, 38, of Penfield, operating a 2014 Freightliner, did not yield to Ralph Givens, 43, of Seaford, Del., in his 1987 International Harvester. As a result Endicott rear-ended the tractor trailer driven

by Givens.

Endicott was injured and taken to Geisinger Danville for treatment, while Givens was not injured.

Police were assisted on the scene by Milroy Fire and EMS company.

¯ Harassment — 11:54 p.m. — Oct. 25 — During an argument a fight broke-out between a 19-year-old female and a 36-year-old male, both from Milroy, at 155 S. Main St., Armagh Township, when the male grabbed the female in an attempt to pull her off the couch. The male was charged with harassment through Magisterial District Judge Kent Smith’s office.

¯ DUI — 9:03 p.m. — Oct. 28 — A 53-year-old male from Harrisburg was arrested for DUI after a traffic stop along U.S. 322 near state Route 75, Walker Township. Charges are pending after results of a blood report.

¯ Crash — 5:15 p.m. — Oct. 29 — Both Lacee Stoner, 25, of Reedsville, and Christine Mills, 50, of McVeytown, were traveling south on U.S. Highway 522 South, near Timberwolf Drive, Oliver Township, when Mills, driving a Honda Civic, attempted to turn right into a driveway. Stoner, in a Chevrolet Equinox, did not initially see the car slowing down in front of her but then tried to pass on the right side, hitting Mills’ vehicle and causing her to travel up an embankment.

There were no injuries and police were assisted on the scene by McVeytown Fire and EMS.

¯ Theft of services — Oct. 29, 7:30 a.m.- Oct. 31, 3 p.m. — Damian Michael Decicco, 27, of McAlisterville, threw three bags of trash into a dumpster paid for by Rosewood Market, Fayette Township. Decicco was charged with theft of services through Magisterial District Judge Barbara M. Lyter’s office.

¯ Crash — 8:11 a.m. — Oct. 30 — The crash occurred as Sheryl King, 55, of Lancaster, was traveling east on U.S. 322 near Center Road, Walker Township, when she hit a deer standing in the left lane. She was wearing a seatbelt and no injuries were reported.
