Operation Overcoat to collect, distribute coats

LEWISTOWN — Operation Overcoat, sponsored by Northwest Bank and the Salvation Army of Lewistown, is underway.

With public support, the sponsors will work together to collect, clean and distribute winter coats to local children in need. Residents are asked to participate in the program by donating warm, new or gently-used fall and winter coats in all children’s sizes.

The program will run until Nov. 21. Coats may be dropped off at the Northwest office located at 10444 U.S. Highway 522 in Lewistown. They will then be distributed by The Salvation Army.

“Operation Overcoat is an important initiative in our community,” said Bonnie Horesco of Northwest’s Lewistown location.  “It’s nice to see people bringing in coats for our area children so they can stay warm

this winter.”
