Benninghoff gets second term as committee chair

Incumbent was unopposed in election held by incoming GOP Caucus at Pennsylvania capitol

HARRISBURG — State Rep. Kerry Benninghoff, R-Bellefonte, was re-elected Tuesday for his second term as the Republican Policy Committee chairman in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives.

He was unopposed in the election held by the incoming Pennsylvania House Republican Caucus at the state capitol, in Harrisburg. The caucus is comprised of GOP legislators elected for the upcoming two-year term that begins in January.

Benninghoff, who has been the 171st District representative since 1997, won re-election for his 11th term in the House earlier this month. He has previously served the House as the chairman of the House Finance Committee, chairman of the Cancer Caucus and chairman of

the Rural Health Caucus.
