Pennsylvania State Police Lewistown

Theft – Dec. 3-4 – Police report investigating an case of theft by deception at a residence on state Route 333 in Juniata County. Police report that unknown actors were involved in a scheme to obtain money from Bonnie McNemar, 68, of Port Royal. The investigation continues.

Falsifying Information – 1:30 p.m. – Feb. 27 – Police report Maria Rosado, 45, of Lewistown falsified information on a document to purchase a firearm.

Burglary – 8:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. – Dec. 8 – Police report investigating a burglary at the residence of Keith Colyer, 57, on Goodville Road, Thompsontown. Police report that an unknown person entered the residence and took an Apple iPad Mini 2 and a Traditions PA Pellet .50 Cal Flintlock rifle with walnut stock. Anyone with information regarding this incident is urged to call police at 320-1010.

Crash – 10:50 p.m. – Dec. 9 – Police report responding to a one vehicle accident at the intersection of William Penn Highway and state Route 333 in Juniata County. Police report Craig Wisehaupt, 40, of Lewistown was driving a 1995 Honda Accord too fast on state Route 333 when he lost control and began to spin once through the intersection. Wisehaupt’s car went off the right side of the roadway and struck a utility pole. Wisehaupt was taken to Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital for moderate injuries.

Possession – 10:47 a.m. – Nov. 29 – Police report Anthony Alexander Dee was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia and a small amount of marijuana during a traffic stop near the Milroy interchange of U.S. 322 West in Armagh Township. Charges are pending.

Theft – Nov. 25 – Police report an incident of theft at 3134 William Penn Highway, Walker Township, Juniata County. According to police Dennis Davidheiser reported that a suspect opened a utilities account in his name in another state. Pennsylvania State Police Selinsgrove

Crash – 2:46 p.m. – Dec. 16 – Police report that Collin Gearhart, 18, of Richfield was driving south on state Route 35 in a 1998 Honda Civic when he struck the rear end of 1999 Dodge 2500 driven by John Parker, 58, of Mount Pleasant Mills. Parker was stopped at the intersection of state Route 35 and Freemont Road waiting to make a left hand turn when Gearhart failed to stop, striking the truck and his vehicle became lodged underneath the rear bumper. Gearhart was cited for driving too fast for conditions.

Police report

DUI-8:16 p.m.-Nov. 25- Pennsylvania State Police Selinsgrove report that David Hackenberg, of Middleburg, was stopped for speeding on North Old Trail Road and routes 11 and 15 and was found to be under the influence of alcohol. Hackenberg was transported to state police barracks for a chemical test of his blood to which he refused. Hackenberg was charged with DUI and several summary traffic violations.

Crash-11:00 p.m.-Dec. 8- Pennsylvania State Police Lewistown report investigating an accident on route 22 at its intersection with Holiday Street in McVeytown. Police report that Mary Mumper, 85, of McVeytown, was traveling east on route 22 in a 2012 Ford Fusion when Anthony Byrd, 25, of McVeytown, drove in front of her car. Mumper swerved to avoid hitting Byrd’s 1999 Saturn SC2 and struck the curb with the right side of her vehicle, breaking the tie rod.

Burglary-4:00 p.m.-Dec. 5- Pennsylvania State Police Lewistown report investigating a burglary which occurred sometime between 10 a.m. Nov. 30 and 4 p.m. Dec. 5 at the residence of Alan Paden, off Nelson Road in Walker Township. Police say someone gained entry into Paden’s residence and removed various items. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact PSP Lewistown at 320-1010.

Hit and Run-Pennsylvania State Police Lewistown report investigating a hit and run accident on William Penn Highway at Zimmerman’s Wholesale, Fermanagh Township, Juniata County. Police report Gabe Sheaffer, 21, of Mifflintown, was traveling west on William Penn Highway in a 1997 Chevy Malibu when the vehicle traveled off the left side of the roadway and spun around. The car continued to travel backwards, struck a fence, went airborne over a ditch and then struck some shrubbery. Sheaffer fled the scene, traveling west on William Penn Highway. Police spotted a fluid trail leading away from the scene. Police followed the fluid trail to the abandoned vehicle on Cuba Mills Road near Cleck Road. Police later learned Sheaffer was operating the car and Samantha Amig, 22, of Mifflintown, was a passenger. Sheaffer will receive multiple citations. Amig will also be cited.

Police Report

Theft-November 24-Granville Township Police report investigating an incident of theft at Snappy’s convenience store. Management stated that employee Jeannie Skipper, of Mount Union, took lottery tickets and failed to make a deposit.

Retail Theft-November 28- Granville Township Police report investigating an incident of retail theft when Loss Prevention Officers stopped Jessica Shade, of Lewistown, after she was concealing items and leaving the store without paying for them.

Harassment-December 2-Middleburg Police Department reports being contacted by a known female who reported receiving harassing text messages from Angela Frost, 25, of Beavertown. Frost was cited for summary harassment.

Forgery/Theft-November 30- Pennsylvania State Police Lewistown report investigating an incident of forgery and theft at 2597 Lions Club Park Road, Milford Township, Juniata County. Melissa Ann Geedey, 23, of Mifflintown, is accused of stealing approximately $2,500 dollars from Wanda Mae Geedey, 58, of Port Royal, by way of writing checks to herself and forging the victim’s signature on the checks.

Crash-4:45 p.m.-December 2-Pennsylvania State Police Lewistown report responding to a one vehicle crash on Cocolamus Road in Fayette Township Juniata County. The crash occurred when Timothy Wilson Jr., 22, of Thompsontown, was traveling south when he lost control of his 2003 Chevy Silverado while attempting to negotiate a sharp left hand curve. Wilson’s vehicle slid across both lanes before rolling over and coming to a rest against a fence off the right side of the roadway. No injuries were reported.

Crash-December 6-Pennsylvania State Police Lewistown report investigating a one vehicle crash on Cedar Street in Delaware Township, Juniata County. Police report that Marissa Corriera, 22, of Mifflintown, was driving a 2004 Saturn Sedan east on Cedar Street when she traveled off the south side of the roadway and rolled over several times. Corriera was transported to Hershey Medical Center for treatment of injuries sustained in the crash.

DUI-7:10 p.m.-November 3- Pennsylvania State Police Rockview report arresting Eugene Wheeler, 48, of Lewistown, for driving under the influence on state Route 144 near Lower Georges Valley Road in Potter Township, Centre County. Charges pending blood test results.

Theft-Nov. 26-Pennsylvania State Police Lewistown report an incident of theft in the area of 1205 Burnt Church Road, Tuscarora Township, Juniata County. According to police, some time between noon and 6 p.m. on Nov. 26 actor(s) removed a treestand belonging to Kevin Sassaman, 42, of Millerstown. Harassment-5:27 a.m.-Dec. 5-Pennsylvania State Police Lewistown report responding to domestic dispute at 10725 Licking Creek Road, Milford Township, Juniata County. Police report a verbal altercation occurred when the victim, a 52-year-old female, returned home late from work. The suspect, a 55-year-old male, is accused of grabbing the victim and pushing her to the ground. Charges for harassment are pending.

DUI-10:35 p.m.-Nov. 12-Pennsylvania State Police Selinsgrove report responding to a call of an erratic driver. Police report finding the accused, Bryanne Zellers, 23, of Millerstown, parked at the Middleburg Sunoco at the intersection of state Route 104 and Paxtonville Road. Zellers was found to be under the influence of alcohol and taken to PSP Selinsgrove for a blood test. The test resulted in a BAC in excess of the legal limit.

Criminal Mischief-4:40-Nov. 28-Pennsylvania State Police Selinsgrove report an act of criminal mischief at Monroe Township Recreation Park in Snyder County. Police report that a 15-year-old actor kicked two steel doors at the concession stand and restroom, damaging both.

Crash-5:36 p.m.-Dec. 3-Pennsylvania State Police Selinsgrove report investigating a two-vehicle accident on state Route 35 near Sand Hill Road. Police report that Tony Swartz, 30, of Richfield, was driving a Chevy Blazer northbound on Route 35 when he failed to stop for standing traffic and struck the rear bumper area of a Toyota Rav4 operated by Servais Honvo, 49, of Norwich. No injuries were reported.

Harassment-8:50 p.m.-Dec. 1-Pennsylvania State Police Huntingdon report investigating an incident of harassment at the parking lot of Kish Bank in Smithfield Township, Huntingdon County. Police report that Jessica Hooper, 30, of Mount Union, was accused of threatening to fight a 16-year-old female. Charges will be filed through district court.

Theft-Pennsylvania State Police report that between the dates of Oct. 20 and Nov. 24, Matthew Botsford, 25, of Beaver Springs, stole money on three separate occasions from his employer, Maurices clothing store in Selinsgrove. Botsford was charged with theft and receiving stolen property.

Crash-5:02 p.m.-Nov. 30- Pennsylvania State Police Selinsgrove report investigating a crash on East Market Street, Freeburg. Police report that Carson Moyer, 76, was crossing the street when he was struck by a Ford Explorer driven by Rita Graybill, 62, of Richfield. Moyer was taken to Geisinger Hospital with major injury.

Burglary-Nov. 18-Pennsylvania State Police Newport report investigating an incident of burglary at the Landisburg Mart on Landisburg Road in Tyrone Township, Perry County. Police report that Gerald Michael Rowles, 58, of Port Royal, broke the glass out of the front door of the business with his hand and foot. Rowles entered through the broken door, walked behind the counter, opened a cabinet that contained the safe and looked at it for an unspecified amount of time. Rowles then fled the scene on foot before he was picked up by law enforcement.

Criminal Mischief-Pennsylvania State Police Lewistown report that between the dates of Nov. 2 and Nov. 30, unknown actor(s) removed two lug nuts from the wheel of a vehicle owned by Chery Finkle, 43, at 1215 Route 103 in Bratton Township. Anyone with information pertaining to this incident is encouraged to call PSP Lewistown at 320-1010

Burglary-11:38 a.m.-Nov. 18-Pennsylvania State Police Newport report investigating an incident of burglary in the 1200 block of Buckwheat Road, Tuscarora Township. Police report that an unknown actor(s) entered the barn of 47-year-old Millerstown woman and removed a battery. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact PSP Newport at 567-3110

Assault-Nov. 14-Lewistown Police Department reports responding to a call for a domestic disturbance at a residence on North Walnut Street. Upon arrival, the victim informed officers she had been assaulted by Derryck McKnight, 38, of Lewistown. According to the report, the victim was first assaulted during an argument on Chestnut Street, then assaulted a second time at the North Walnut Street apartment. McKnight fled the scene prior to police arrival. A warrant was obtained, and McKnight was arrested on Dec. 1 and transported to the Mifflin County Correctional Facility where he is held pending arraignment.

Middleburg Police Department

Assault-1:11 a.m.-Nov. 19-Middleburg Police report an incident of simple assault which occurred during a domestic dispute at 1185 Globe Mills Road in Snyder County. Police report that Cory Henry, 28, of Middleburg, was intoxicated and being disruptive inside the residence and had physical contact with a known female. Henry was charged with simple assault and three counts of harassment.

DUI – 2:36 a.m. – Oct. 10 – Middleburg Police report stopping a Chevy truck operated by Jeffery Heeter, 52, of Beavertown, on Paxtonville road for a traffic violation. Police report finding Heeter to be operating the vehicle under the influence of alcohol and he was taken into custody for suspicion of DUI. Blood tests results showed Heeter to have a .237 BAC at the time of the stop.

Pennsylvania State Police Lewistown

Harassment – 10:29 a.m.-Nov. 24-Pennsylvania State Police Lewistown report that Tyler Ammerman, 25, and Brittany Harling, 23, both of McClure, were cited for harassment after an incident in Decatur Township. Police report that during an argument Harling punched Ammerman in the face and Ammerman grabbed a hold of Harling’s arms.

Trespass – 5:27 p.m.-Nov. 25-Pennsylvania State Police Lewistown report investigating an incident of trespass which occurred at 2 Cedar St. in Mifflintown. Police report that Ronald Jeremiah Roberts was cited for trespass.

Pennsylvania State Police Huntingdon

Crash – 9:12 a.m.-Nov. 28-Pennsylvania State Police Huntingdon report investigating a crash on Standing Stone Road in Oneida Township. Police report that Ciro Colletti, 48, of Mount Union, was traveling southbound on Standing Stone Road when he failed to navigate a left-hand curve and traveled off the west side of the berm and struck the end of a guard rail.
